This article analyzes the structural paradoxes related to food security in contemporary Brazil, especially in light of the growing expansion of agricultural exports. Although the country stands out as one of the world's largest food producers and exporters, a significant portion of the population still faces food insecurity. The research, which is qualitative and theoretical-analytical in nature, is based on a review of the literature and documents, using data from national and international organizations. It discusses the apparent paradox between Brazil's agro-export performance and the persistence of hunger, articulating reflections on the role of the state, the influence of global actors, and the limitations of public policies. The analysis shows that, despite initiatives such as the Food Acquisition Program (PAA) and the institutionalization of the National Food and Nutritional Security Policy (PNSAN), an economic logic focused on the foreign market still prevails, to the detriment of internal food sovereignty.Downloads
